18th C. Neapolitan Polychrome Figure of Woman

Neapolitan polychrome figure / doll of a woman, the terracotta shoulderhead with sculpted hair, pierced ears, and enamel eyes, the armature body with carved wooden arms and legs, with original silk, velvet, and cotton costume, mounted to later wood base. Figure: 12.5" H x 6" W x 4.75" D; overall with base: 13.75" H. Losses, including three digits to proper left hand, overall wear commensurate with age and exposure.
