Central Asia, Tibet, ca. 18th century CE. A cast yellow bronze royal seal in the form of a cylinder capped by a flame-like form. This item was used by high officials in the Tibetan Royal Court to certify the text of decrees. The upper body and flame have ornate cast decoration, giving them a textured appearance; the lower part of the cylinder is smooth and hollow. Size: 0.85" W x 2.25" H (2.2 cm x 5.7 cm)
