18th Cent. Qianlong Era Famille Rose Vase

DESCRIPTION: Famille rose porcelain vase with two large images and four small images on its body and two small images on its neck. One large image depicts someone pleading with two older men and an attendant in a courtyard; other large image depicts two young men, an older man, and a monk beneath a crane in a wilderness setting. Four smaller images on body depict floral and foliage motifs; two images depict domesticated plants and two depict wildflowers. Two images on neck each depict two boys interacting with each other. Space between images has gilded medallions against an orange background; curvilinear motifs within a geometric pattern ring the bottom of the vase. Inside and underside of vase has a blue hue. Marked on underside with red Han characters indicating Qianlong era date.
