The round dish with a deep rim, painted with a Chinoiserie scene in blue monochrome with scalloped cartouches of Asian figures in gardens alternating with flower-heads; the well painted with a standing figure among stylized rocks and peonies. Hanau. Circa 1760. 2 1/4" H., 13" Diameter. By descent from the Kaumheimer family, Stuttgart, Germany. Typical flaking to rim; one 3/4" long deeper rim chip.
