18th Century Leather Fire Bucket & Wood Bowl

Early 18th Century Leather Fire Bucket with Handle & Wood Bowl. This is a leather, steel and riveted fire bucket from the American Colonial Period. It was originally highly decorated, but only traces of the decoration still exist. It is in remarkable condition for its age, (somewhere around 250 years old) and it looks like it would still hold water and could still accurately perform its original intended purpose. Bucket measures 11" tall x 12 1/2" wide x 10 1/2" deep. Leather handle measures 18 1/2" long x 1 1/4" wide. Wood bowl measures 3 3/4" tall x 11 1/2" wide. Both items combine weight: 6 lbs. In good condition.
