Title: 18th c. Wooden Mixing Bowl
Provenance: A first for us, having never seen one like it, is this round, deep bowl. It has no foot, has a carved "nub" for holding the bowl while stirring, a ring around the edge and, in spite of not having a foot, will set upright. It has wonderful patina and carving marks all over the exterior. The interior of the bowl is smooth from much use. It has a 3 inch and 1 inch age crack on the edge but stable. It also has some tight age cracks in the bottom but no light can be seen through. It measures 10 1/2" by 10 1/4" round and 6" deep. This bowl is a unique find and a great piece of treen.
