18thC Thai or Lao Buddha, 2-3/8" Tall

18thC Thai or Lao Buddha with strong burial patina- this piece has not been cleaned and is in "as found" condition. Retains some of the original black lacquer, but hard to see as is currently covered with burial dirt. Was purchased along with a group of other closely related figures- some retained more or less of their original lacquer, gilding, and burial patina. Made of some type of clay or terracotta. Well modeled. Sits 2-3/8" tall, bottom of the base is 1.5" x 1".
