Antique African tribal knife, most likely from the Congo region of Central Africa. Broad leaf-shaped iron blade tapering to a pointed tip, with incised geometric decoration near the base. Carved wooden handle with tightly wound metal wire at the blade junction. A distinctive ethnographic piece made in a traditional hand-crafted manner. Condition: age-related wear, patina, oxidation and surface wear to the blade, with wear and marks to the wooden handle and wire binding. Condition as shown in the photographs.
