1901 US Reed & Barton Silver Spoons, 'M' Monogram

United States, Massachusetts, ca. early 1900s CE. A matching set of 6 Reed and Barton sterling silver teaspoons, engraved with French Antique-Wateau Engraved style handles and monogramed with an "M." The neck verso is marked "STERLING" with the Reed & Barton hallmark, an eagle with "R" in a shield and a lion. These spoons predate the company's practice of using year symbols which began in 1928, and research suggests the French Antique-Wateau style was first released in 1901. All are in great condition and perfect for pairing with fine dinnerware! Size: 6" L x 1.125" W (15.2 cm x 2.9 cm)

Provenance: private Lumberton, Texas, USA collection, acquired before 2010
