1909 AT&T Sterling Presentation Cup to Doolittle

Meridian Brittania Co. sterling presentation loving cup, scalloped rim, two handles with applied floral designs, ruffled foot. Presentation to "T. B. (Thomas B) Doolittle, from his "boys", as a token of their respect, appreciation, and admiration, June 30, 1909". Engraved photo., telephone wire and pole. Verso engraved with list of names. Doolitle constructed and ran the first copper telephone lines from New York to Boston (300 miles), and later to Philadelphia. Measures 10.75" h. x 11.5". Approx. 42.2 troy oz.
