1910 President Theodore Roosevelt Naval War of 1812 American NAVY Ships 2v

“Knowing what's right doesn't mean much unless you do what's right.”

― Theodore Roosevelt

The twenty-sixth president of the United States was also a world-renowned hunter, conservationist, soldier, and scholar. In 1882, Roosevelt tried his hand at writing. His first book was a survey of the naval battles during the War of 1812. ‘The Naval War of 1812’ covers the use of ships, large guns, military technology, and specific battles in the war. However, this work took a critical approach toward the American military, in which he attacked America’s lack of preparation for the war – Roosevelt wrote this book to criticize both sides of the war.
