1923 COLT MODEL 1911 GOV'T .45 ACP PISTOL

SERIAL NUMBER C134233 BARREL 5" CALIBER .45 ACP MANUAFCTURED 1923. Produced commercially immediately post WW1 for the civilian market with blue finish, checkered walnut grips, wide long pattern colt hammer with short grip safety and smooth long trigger and smooth flat mainspring housing. Many of this period 1911 pistols ended up with US Military personnel fighting in South America and in the Asian theatres. CONDITION, Good as found with over 80% bright blue and good bore action operates properly Grips have additional finish applied Possible refinish but difficult to determine. C&R
