1927 First Edition Italian Touring Club Atlas
Atlante Internazionale Del Touring Club Italiano (International Atlas of the Italian Touring Club), 1st edition 1927 folio with dust jacket. Touring Club of Italy was founded in 1894 by a group of bicyclists. The atlas was conceived after WWI and based on the German Stielers Hand atlas amongst others. Olinto Marinelli was the scientific editor and Pietro Corbellini was chief cartographer. The atlas was dedicated to Benito Mussolini.
Dimensions are: 13 1/4 in (33.7 cm) wide X 20 in (50.8 cm) tall. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Overall wear. Scattered tearing and chipping to book cover. Scattered foxing and age toning to pages.
