LOT 27P

1935 Ford V8 Rumble Seat Cabriolet, Registration no. AVB 526 Chassis no. 2118337

[ translate ]

Odometer Reading: 1487
MoT Expiry: n/a

*An older restoration
*Running nicely
*Highly usable

Building on the success of the 1932 Ford V8 and its 1933/1934 successors, the 1935 model was re-designed but maintained the manufacturer's aim of affordable elegance. Presented here is a UK-registered, right-hand drive older restoration with good bodywork, but the paint has, on closer inspection, some imperfections as well as some chips and touch-ins. The hood, while generally reasonable, has some small holes and its inner facing is discoloured. Seats and door panels are good but require cleaning, the rumble seat being in the same order. Under the bonnet there is some paint lifting. The flathead V8 engine starts and runs well and the running gear is generally good, as is the electrical system.
