1938-S/S 1C Repunched Mintmark, FS-501, MS66 Red PCGS. The mintmark is boldly repunched north on FS-501. The San Francisco Mint struck a modest production of just over 15 million Lincoln cents in 1938, with the coins all delivered in the first and last quarters of the year. The 1938-S can be located in MS66 Red with a little patience today, but it becomes elusive in finer grades.
