1947-S 1C MS66 Red NGC. Despite a 99 million-piece production, only a tiny percentage of that mintage survives in Premium Gem condition or finer. This lustrous 1947-S stands out with deep-red color and smooth, attractive surfaces. Although many 1947-S cents display a weak strike from overused or widely spaced dies, this coin is sharper than most. Only nominal weakness exists at O and N of ONE and at PL of PLURIBUS.
