12 pages of typed and handwritten letters, some partial, with portions removed, 1953-1957, and 1 handwritten letter 1969, from Yatsuhashi, Boston dealer in "Objects of Oriental Art", to a collector in Syracuse, New York, with much information about various Japanese woodblock artists, including Hiroshi Yoshida, Hasui, Kaburagi, Goyo, Koryo, Soten, Kiyokata.

Yatsuhashi was an influential Asian art dealer in the US in the mid 20th century. His family Papers are now held by the Freer Gallery at the Smithsonian.

Includes H.Yatsuhashi, Inc., Boston. 10 Typed Letters (2 partial, bottoms removed), Nov. 30, 1953 - Feb. 18, 1957; 1 pg. handwritten letter, Feb. 19, 1969; 1 handwritten page, undated; 2 typed pages, undated; and 1 partial signed letter, top removed; carbon copy of a receipt for a purchase of Japanese art, July 25, 1953. Also 5 pages of receipts for Japanese books and prints purchased by Anglin in 1953 from the Boston Book and Art Shop, sent to Anglin by Yatsuhashi (at age 83) in 1969.

Yatsuhashi first worked at the famed antiquities firm of Yamanaka & Co. (liquidated by the US Alien Property Custodian in a legendary auction during World War II) before starting his own Asian antiquities shop in Boston in 1945.
