1953 MARLING MODEL 39A .22 LEVER ACTION RIFLE

[ translate ]

SERIAL NUMBER: K10777. BARREL: 4". CALIBER: .22 S-L-LR. MANUFACTURED: 1953. The 1953 Marlin Model 39A is a premium, American-made lever-action rifle renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship and all-steel construction. Chambered for .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle cartridges, it features a 24-inch barrel with traditional Ballard-type deep-groove rifling, which is highly prized by collectors as Marlin transitioned to Micro-Groove rifling the following year. This takedown-style rifle can easily split into two pieces with a single thumbscrew, revealing a beautifully blued receiver and barrel paired with a smooth, uncheckered American black walnut stock and semi-beavertail forearm. As a true mid-century classic, it predates the gold-plated triggers and "Golden" barrel stamps of later decades, making it a pure, rugged, and highly accurate example of Marlin's finest manufacturing era. CONDITION: Excellent for its age. There are a few very minor handling marks on the stocks. The metal retains the original finish. The bore is shiny with sharp rifling. Operates normally. C&R 26-31
