Présentée en 1934, la Traction Avant est considérée comme l’une des voitures mythiques du XXe siècle. Dessinée par un sculpteur Italien de génie Flaminio Bertoni, elle doit sa genèse à un industriel audacieux, André Citroën qui misera tout sur elle et se ruinera pour sa création. En plus de proposer les roues avant motrices, elle proposera une carrosserie tout acier sans châssis et beaucoup d’innovations techniques. Elle deviendra un véritable symbole national pendant ses 27 années de carrière, confirmant ainsi la réputation de constructeur entreprenant et techniquement avant-gardiste de la marque. 80 ans après et au jour des 100 ans de la Marque aux Chevrons, les amateurs et collectionneurs de Citroën n’ont jamais été aussi nombreux.
L’exemplaire que nous présentons a été mis en circulation le 22 mars 1956. Acquise en 2007 par son actuel propriétaire, cette charmante 11 BL se présente dans un bon état général. Elle a été restaurée par étape au début des années 2000. Elle a reçu une nouvelle peinture bleu nuit en 2002 et l’intérieur a été refait en 2004 avec une garniture skaï et tissus rayé gris. Une révision mécanique a été effectuée au printemps et la tringlerie de boîte a été revue. Son moteur démarre au quart de tour, à son volant l’on retrouve une auto agréable à conduire au comportement sain et équilibré. Présentée aujourd’hui sans prix de réserve cette Traction 11 BL constitue une opportunité à saisir !

Designed by a genius Italian sculptor Flaminio Bertoni, it owes its genesis to a daring industrialist, André Citroën, who will bet everything on it and ruin himself for its creation. In addition to the front wheel drive wheels, it will also offer an all-steel body without a chassis and many technical innovations. It will become a true national symbol during its 27-year career, confirming the brand’s reputation as an enterprising and technically avant-garde manufacturer. 80 years later and on the day of the 100th anniversary of the Chevrons Brand, Citroën’s enthusiasts and collectors have never been so numerous.
The copy we are presenting was put into circulation on March 22, 1956. Acquired in 2007 by its current owner, this charming 11 BL is in good general condition. It was restored in stages in the early 2000s. It received a new night blue paint in 2002 and the interior was redone in 2004 with a skaï and grey striped fabric trim. A mechanical overhaul was carried out last spring and the gearbox linkage was overhauled. Its engine works very well, at its wheel we discover a car that is pleasant to drive and has a healthy and balanced behaviour. Presented today without a reserve price, this 11 BL Traction is an opportunity to be seized!
