THE CADILLAC ELDORADO SEVILLE HARDTOP

1957 brought dramatic new and very attractive styling to the Cadillac Eldorado line. Rather than the squared-off rear quarters topped by small fins, the Eldorados presented a pair of dramatic "shark fins" and a sloping trunk lid sure to catch everyone's eye. There was lavish use of chrome everywhere for this new design, along with gold-plated Vees and other emblems. Caddy Eldorado hardtop coupes and convertibles became the center of attention at every country club in the nation. Although these Cadillacs weighed nearly 2 ½ tons, their 300-horsepower V8s provided good performance, but speed was not their forte; they excelled in carrying up to six passengers in stylish comfort. These top-of-the-line Cadillacs, loaded with every possible luxury convenience, carried a base price of $7286 FOB. They were indeed the "Standard of the World".

THE MOTORCAR OFFERED

Resplendent in Metallic Silver with a black vinyl-wrapped roof, this stunning, driver-quality Eldorado SeVille two-door hardtop is certain to catch eyes wherever it goes. The interior is trimmed in pebble-grained material, and the seats are clad in white leather with lavish brocade fabric inserts, including the back surface of the front seats. The deliberately exposed ribs of the headliner are chromed, the interior carpeting is black, while the trunk compartment and spare tire are covered in gray carpeting. The driver enjoys a fully instrumented dashboard behind a black and white plastic steering wheel with chrome horn ring. The full wheel covers are of the "Turbine" style, set off by whitewall tires. This Eldo's odometer displays 82,626 miles, which may be original. This stunning Cadillac will stop traffic wherever it is driven.
