La folie des Choppers atteint son apogée dans les années soixante-dix, juste après que " Easy Rider " ait rendu célèbre " Captain America ", le chop' de Peter Fonda dans ce film culte. Le modèle présenté est un chopper original, fabriqué en 1974 par Psycho Cycles, un garage américain spécialisé dans le genre. Propulsé par un sculptural moteur BSA de 650 cm3, ce chopper possède toutes les caractéristiques d'un " bon " Chopper. Il est équipé d'un magnifique cadre rigide et d'une longue fourche rejetant une fine roue avant loin devant. Posé sur une large roue arrière, le chopper Psycho Cycles possède sa décoration psychédélique d'époque et répond aux canons esthétiques du genre : échappements remontant vers le ciel, selles sur deux niveaux, guidon relevé, petit phare, etc. Acquis en 2013 par son propriétaire actuel, cette BSA très spéciale a été entièrement démontée pour une restauration des pièces chromées et de la visserie. Le moteur a lui aussi été démonté pour une rénovation importante (réfection pompe à huile, embrayage, dynamo et magnéto ; surfaçage culasse, rodage des soupapes, peinture cylindre et culasse, etc.). Afin d'être prêt pour un road trip sur la Route 66, ce chopper sera révisé avant la vente.

The chopper craze reached its peak in the seventies, just after "Easy Rider" made famous "Captain America", Peter Fonda's chopper in this cult film. The bike on offer is an original chopper, manufactured in 1974 by Psycho Cycles, an American garage specializing in the genre. Powered by a 650cc BSA engine, this chopper has all the characteristics of a "good" Chopper. It is equipped with a magnificent rigid frame and a long fork with a slim front wheel far ahead. Placed on a fat rear wheel, the Psycho Cycles chopper has its period psychedelic decoration and meets the aesthetic requirements of the genre: exhausts rising towards the sky, saddles on two levels, raised handlebars, small headlamp, etc. Acquired in 2013 by its current owner, this very special BSA was completely dismantled for a restoration of the chrome parts and screws. The engine was also dismantled for a major renovation (oil pump, clutch, dynamo and magneto repair; cylinder head surfacing, valve lapping, cylinder and cylinder head painting, etc.). To be ready for a road trip on Route 66, or wherever you want to take it, this chopper will be serviced before the sale.
