1959 Colt Python 6" Blued .357 Magnum Double Action Revolver
Manufactured by Colt in 1959, this early Python double/single action revolver is chambered for .357 Magnum cartridges. Features a 6" ventilated rib barrel with a full underlug. Adjustable rear sight, pinned target blade front sight and top rib is drilled and tapped. Barrel is roll marked on the right with the single line Colt address and "PYTHON 357 / *357 MAGNUM CTG *" on the left. Crosscut target style hammer and serrated trigger. Finished in Colt polished blue, the revolver is fitted with factory Second model walnut checkered grips with gold tone medallions. Retains 80% finish showing wear at the muzzle, under barrel and trigger guard as well as the high edges. Shows a drag line on the cylinder. The grips show wear in the checkering, scratches, dings and a shellac refinishing. Light frost on the bore with visible rifling and good tight mechanics.
