1959 Colt Single Action Army .357 Magnum 7-1/2" Revolver 2nd Gen in Original Box
Manufactured by Colt in 1959, this Second Generation Single Action Army revolver is an excellent early postwar example of the legendary Peacemaker, chambered in the popular .357 Magnum cartridge. This example features the 7-1/2" blued barrel, fixed blade front sight, and frame notch rear sight, retaining the classic profile that made the Single Action Army one of the most recognizable revolvers in American history. The top of the barrel is roll marked with the single-line Colt address, while the left side is marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .357 MAGNUM." The frame displays vibrant original case colors and is stamped with the two-line patent dates and Rampant Colt logo on the left side. Additional features include a six-round fluted blued cylinder, blued trigger guard and grip strap, factory Eagle-style checkered hard rubber grips, and the correct triangular "VP" proof mark and inspector "P" stamp on the left side of the trigger guard. Comes in the original black hinged top box with gold end label and factory brochure. CALIBER/GA: 357 MAG. S/N: 24442SA. FFL: Curio & Relic.
Condition
Retains 97% finish throughout with a few light scuffs on the cylinder and on the edge of the cylinder shield. Grips show faint handling only. The bore is shiny and bright, likely unfired so mechanics have not been tested. Box shows very light storage marks, overall in great condition for its age.
