1960 Chrysler 300F Convertible AACA Senior + National

[ translate ]

No Reserve. Representing the pinnacle of Chrysler's celebrated Letter Series, this 1960 Chrysler 300F Convertible combines imposing Virgil Exner styling, exceptional luxury and some of the most advanced American performance engineering of its era. The 300F introduced Chrysler's dramatic new unibody construction and was powered by the formidable 413-cubic-inch Golden Lion V8, rated at 375 horsepower and fed by its unmistakable dual four-barrel cross-ram induction system. The long intake runners placed a carburetor near each inner fender, creating one of the most visually arresting engine compartments of the period while producing immense low- and mid-range torque. Only 248 300F convertibles were manufactured, compared with 964 hardtops, placing this open Letter Car among the rarest and most desirable postwar Chryslers. An AACA Senior Award winner in 2024 and AACA National Award recipient in 2025, its combination of Toreador Red exterior and tan interior presents the 300F in appropriately dramatic fashion. The car's documented recognition places it well beyond the level of an ordinary restored example. With breathtaking styling, limited production, cross-ram power and national-level judging history, this is a centerpiece automobile equally suited to a major Letter Car collection or concours field. VIN: 8403132792.
