La particularité de cette voiture est d'avoir passé toute son existence en Suède ! Importée par Scania-Vabis et vendue neuve à Stockholm en février 1962, elle était de couleur bleu "Oslo" (code 6203) et a été utilisée par cinq automobilistes successifs de 1964 à 1972, tous au nord du pays. L’un d’eux vivait même à Skellefteå, ville située à seulement 200 kilomètres du cercle polaire ! Elle a changé de mains deux fois dans les années 2000 avant d'être achetée en 2014 par Staffan Wittmark, qui ne l'a pratiquement pas utilisée.
Elle avait été intégralement restaurée et se présente aujourd'hui dans un état absolument superbe. La carrosserie et la peinture ne montrent pas de défaut et le beau compartiment arrière est équipé du moteur d'origine dont la présentation semble sans reproche. Le compartiment avant a été refait lui aussi, y compris le bac à batterie qui est un des points sensibles du modèle, et il reçoit la trousse à outils et le cric.
La capote crème est comme neuve, avec sa lunette arrière souple dénuée de trace, et l'habitacle est d'une rare qualité de présentation. Les sièges en cuir beige clair, les contreportes et les moquettes ne montrent aucun signe d'usage et les instruments sont magnifiques dans leur entourage chromé, de même que le volant avec son beau cerclo-avertisseur. Un autoradio Blaupunkt agrémente l'ensemble. En 2020, cette voiture qui porte encore son immatriculation de 1974 a fait l'objet d'une révision chez Porsche Haninge, en Suède.
Cette 1600 S cabriolet, modèle qui fait partie des 356 les plus appréciées avec son moteur Super 90, bénéficie d'un ensemble de certificats d'immatriculation qui documentent son existence en Suède, ainsi qu'un certificat d'origine et divers autres documents. What makes this car stand out is that it has spent its entire life in Sweden! Imported by Scania-Vabis and sold new in Stockholm in February 1962, it was finished in ‘Oslo Blue’ (code 6203) and was used by five owners in turn from 1964-1972, all of them in the north of the country. One of them even lived in the town of Skellefteå, just 200km from the Arctic Circle! It changed hands twice in the 2000s before it was bought in 2014 by Staffan Wittmark, who hardly used it.
It had been completely restored and is currently in absolutely superb condition. The body and paintwork are unblemished, while the handsome rear compartment is still home to the original engine, which is faultless in appearance. The front compartment has also been restored, including the battery tray, which is one of the critical points on this model, and houses the tool kit and jack.
The cream hood is like new, with its unmarked flexible rear screen, and the interior is of exceptionally high quality. The light beige leather seats, door cards and carpets show no sign of wear and the instruments with their chrome rings are magnificent, as is the steering wheel with its attractive horn ring. A Blaupunkt radio complements the rest of the interior. In 2020, the car - still with its registration number from 1974 - was given a service by Porsche Haninge, in Sweden.
