1963. ENGRAVING: (BIBLIOPHILIA-ART). DALÍ, SAVIOR: THE DIVINE COMEDY A suite of three folders is presented with the 100 signed woodcut compositions by Dali on a plate. All superimposed on a sheet of Arches thread paper with a window. Three folders that correspond to the Hell, Purgatory and Paradise of Dante's work, do not carry the text, only a sheet with the title of the edition and another with some verses (Ediciones Velázquez, Madrid). The illustration of the work was commissioned by the Italian government to commemorate the 700th anniversary of the poet's birth. Dalí created the watercolours that were transformed into woodcuts with the help of the engravers Jacquet and Taricco, the artist's signature was included on the plates. This is one of the suites that Les Heures Claires de Paris edited with the one hundred prints gathered in three folders.
