Selon son numéro de série, notre Sunbeam Series II sortit d'usine en 1963 en version conduite à gauche, équipé de l'overdrive et destinée au marché américain. C'est en 2014 que notre collectionneur fit l'acquisition de ce joli roadster lors d'une vente aux enchères en Belgique. Les documents qui l'accompagnent nous permettent de retracer une bonne partie de son histoire. Il séjourna pendant de nombreuses années en Autriche et ce dès le début des années 70 et notamment dans la ville de Vienne. Selon le descriptif du catalogue de vente de l'époque, cet exemplaire fut acquis en 2002 par le précédent propriétaire après auprès de celui qui avait entrepris sa restauration dans le milieu des années 90. Le dossier contient de nombreuses factures, la plupart émises par le professionnel Ernst Chalupa situé à Vienne. La voiture est accompagnée de ses anciens documents d'immatriculation autrichiens, d'une carte d'identité FIVA de 1995 et de nombreuses factures anciennes. Depuis son acquisition, notre collectionneur a effectué d'importants travaux d'optimisations réalisés par Konig en Angleterre, factures à l'appui. Notre Sunbeam dans sa robe rouge avec intérieur noir et capote assortie est en bel état général de présentation signe que la restauration ancienne fut de qualité. Elégant et chic on comprend très vite pourquoi ce petit roadster a connu un vrai succès, à vous désormais d'en profiter.

According to its serial number, this Sunbeam Series II left the factory in 1963 in a left-hand drive version, equipped with overdrive and intended for the American market. It was in 2014 that our collector acquired this pretty roadster at an auction in Belgium. The accompanying documents allow us to trace a good part of its history. The car stayed for many years in Austria from the beginning of the 1970s, particularly in the city of Vienna. According to the description of the sales catalog of the time, this example was acquired in 2002 by the previous owner from the person who had undertaken its restoration in the mid-1990s. The file contains numerous invoices, most of them issued by the professional Ernst Chalupa located in Vienna. The car comes with its old Austrian registration documents, a FIVA identity card from 1995, and many old invoices. Since its acquisition, our collector has carried out major work executed by Konig in England, with invoices to support this. This Sunbeam in its red livery, with black interior and matching hood is in good general condition, a sign that the old restoration was of high quality. Elegant and chic, it is easy to understand why this little roadster has been a real success, now it's up to you to enjoy it.
