Lot details

Registration No: FDV 955D
Chassis No: BB22FS04496
MOT: 17 February 2022

Motor Car Location: Worcestershire In current ownership for the last 29 years Is offered with the original order sheet, order invoice and receipt, as well as the original logbook Offered with an MOT certificate valid until 17 February 2022

Ford's fourth and last Anglia - the 105E - broke cover in 1959. The styling displayed a strong American influence and included a sweeping nose, notchback rear window, and muted tail fins. The newcomer benefited from an equally new engine, a 997cc OHV straight-four unit codenamed ‘Kent', versions of which powered all manner of Fords for years after. It was mated to a four-speed manual gearbox with synchromesh on the top three ratios. The suspension was by MacPherson strut at the front and leaf-sprung live axle at the rear.

FDV 955D is presented in Velvet blue with contrasting grey interior. Originally purchased by a Mrs Alice Mary Lavins via Mid-Devon Garage of Newton Abbott on 25 April 1966, the car was acquired by its current custodian in 1992 and comes accompanied with an MOT certificate valid until 17 February 2022. The vendor rates the condition of the bodywork, engine, electrical equipment, paintwork, transmission and interior trim all as ‘Average’, with the current mileage showing as 42,159.

Included with the vehicle are incredibly rare documentation including the original order sheet, order invoice and receipt, as well as the original registration logbook. Additionally, also included is the original Anglia owner’s Handbook, a collection of previous MOTs nearly every year from 1983 through to 2012 and invoices and receipts dating back to the first owner. The V5 Document shows 1 former keeper.
