Ce coupé Jaguar Type E a été délivré neuf le 2 août 1967 en Californie par l'intermédiaire du distributeur Jaguar de New York. Elle était de livrée marron opalescent avec intérieur cuir noir, combinaison qu'elle arbore toujours aujourd'hui. Il s'agirait de l'un des 20 derniers coupés conduite à gauche de la série 1 produits. Son actuel propriétaire, collectionneur autrichien, en a fait l'acquisition en Californie début 2016. D'après son précédent propriétaire, la voiture n'avait que peu roulé depuis 1991 et a bénéficié de nombreux travaux de remise en état en 2005. La mécanique (matching numbers), le freinage ainsi que la remise en conformité de l'intérieur avaient alors été principalement concernés. La voiture est aujourd'hui équipée d'un alternateur. La carrosserie est en bon état, mais porte les traces d'une utilisation régulière de longue date. L'intérieur est, quant à lui, en bon état. This Jaguar Type E coupe was delivered new on August 2, 1967 in California through the Jaguar distributor in New York. It was in opalescent maroon livery with black leather interior, a combination that it still has today. This would be one of the last 20 left-hand-drive coupés to be made in Series 1. Its current owner, an Austrian collector, acquired it in California in early 2016. According to its previous owner, the car had hardly been driven since 1991 and benefited from extensive refurbishment work in 2005. The mechanics (matching numbers), braking as well as the interior had then been mainly concerned. The car is now equipped with an alternator. The bodywork is in good condition, but shows signs of regular use over a long period of time. The interior is in good condition. Combining the purity of the first series line with the powerful 4.2 engine, this Jaguar type E will seduce enthusiasts looking for a car in good condition of use.
