Cette Lamborghini Espada fait partie des toutes premières produites : en fait, c'est la 21e sortie des chaînes de Sant'Agata. Elle présente donc certaines particularités propres aux tous premiers modèles, comme la grille à barrettes verticales qui protège la vitre arrière oblongue, les déflecteurs ouvrant (ils seront fixes à partir de 1969), le tableau de bord un peu extravagant à motif hexagonal, les roues à serrage central et la calandre à maillage hexagonal.
Cette voiture a été livrée le 30 novembre 1968 à son premier propriétaire, basé à Piacenza, en Italie. Le propriétaire actuel l'a achetée en 2014 : elle était alors au Texas, en bel état d'origine avec une carrosserie ayant échappé à la rouille. Rapatriée en Europe, elle a fait l'objet d'une restauration complète chez les meilleures officines italiennes que notre collectionneur connait bien. La carrosserie et la mécanique ont été prises en charge par les ateliers Top Motors et SCN tous deux basés à Nonantola, et la sellerie a été restaurée à Ferrara par Interni Auto. La peinture reprend l'élégante teinte Lamborghini d'époque Blu Notte, avec sellerie rouge. Le moteur est celui d'origine et, depuis cette restauration, la voiture a parcouru un peu plus de 200 km. Après sa restauration de haut niveau, cette sublime Espada a été exposée en 2018 et 2019 au musée Lamborghini, à Sant'Agata. De plus, elle est accompagnée d'un certificat d'authenticité du Polo Storico Lamborghini, précieux document présenté dans une luxueuse boîte noire et délivré sous la direction du "Comitato dei Sagi" après inspection détaillée.
Cette toute première version, rare et originale, constitue donc pour l'amateur une pièce à prendre en sérieuse considération, surtout dans l'état irréprochable dans lequel elle se présente.

This Lamborghini Espada is one of the very first cars built; in fact, it was the 21st car to come off the assembly lines at Sant'Agata. It therefore has some features unique to the very first cars, such as the grille with vertical slats protecting the oblong rear screen, opening quarterlights (they would be fixed from 1969), the somewhat extravagant dashboard with its hexagonal theme, centre-locking wheels and the radiator grille with a hexagonal pattern.
This car was delivered on 30 November 1968 to its first owner, who was based in Piacenza in Italy. Its current owner bought the car in 2014, when it was in Texas, in good original condition, with a body which was free from rust. It was brought back to Europe, where it underwent a complete restoration by the best Italian craftsmen, who were well known to our collector. The bodywork and engine were handled by the workshops Top Motors and SCN in Nonantola, while the upholstery was restored by Interni Auto in Ferrara. The paintwork reverted to Lamborghini's elegant period finish of Midnight Blue, with red upholstery. The engine is original, and the car has been driven for a little over 200 km since its restoration. After its high-level restoration, this sublime Espada was exhibited in 2018 and 2019 at the Lamborghini Museum in Sant'Agata. In addition, it comes with a certificate of authenticity from the Polo Storico Lamborghini, a precious document presented in a luxurious black case and delivered under the authority of the "Comitato dei Sagi" following a detailed inspection.
Rare and original, this very first version is worthy of serious consideration by enthusiasts, especially given its immaculate condition.
