1969 WALTHER OSP MATCH PISTOL BOXED W/ 3 MAGAZINES

SERIAL NUMBER: 05678. BARREL: 4 1/2". CALIBER: .22 SHORT / .22 KURZ. MANUFACTURED: 1969. The Walther OSP (Olympische Schnellfeuer-Pistole) is a specialized semi-automatic target pistol designed for the ISSF 25-meter Rapid Fire Pistol event. Originally introduced by Carl Walther GmbH in 1961 from their facility in Ulm, West Germany, the OSP line inherited the pedigree of Walther's pre-war Olympic models. This exceptional 1969 manufacturing variation is highly prized by collectors for representing the peak of West German engineering and assembly quality. Mechanically, the pistol chambers .22 Short (.22 Kurz) target ammunition to minimize recoil during rapid five-shot strings. It features a classic round ported barrel with top-facing exhaust vents that push gas upward to eliminate muzzle rise. The firearm is highly customizable, outfitted with a removable under-barrel slide weight for balance adjustments, an anatomical walnut target grip, and a fully adjustable match trigger. The firearm's history is authenticated by official stamps on the frame. The Antler stamp represents the Ulm Proof House inspection mark, while the numerical "69" confirms the piece was pressure-tested and completed in 1969. Additionally, the Eagle over "N" confirms official Nitro Proofing, serving as the national legal guarantee that the steel integrity was successfully tested using smokeless gunpowder. This item stands as a Premium Collection Package because it retains all its rare original accessories. It features three factory magazines, which are out-of-production, five-round proprietary units angled specifically for the .22 Short cartridge. The set is completed by the original vintage factory box with intact labeling and the original factory manual containing full schematics, making it a highly desirable, investment-grade collector's find. CONDITION: Excellent. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Operates normally. C&R 26-505
