1970 Château Lynch Bages - Pauillac Grand Cru Classé - 1 Bottle (0.75L)
Château Lynch Bages 1970 - 5th Grand Cru Classé de Pauillac\r
\r
Lynch has always epitomised Pauillac in its purest style. Powerful and very difficult to taste in its younger years, it becomes magnificent and unique with age. \r
\r
1970 is clearly one of Lynch-Bages' greatest successes. Here are Robert Parker's comments on it in 1996: \r
\r
This classic Pauillac boasts a fabulous deep opaque colour, absolutely intact, matched only by Latour in this vintage. The nose, with its scents of cedar, fine leather, smoked meat, cake, tobacco and spices, introduces a whole on the palate that is at once young, rich, tannic, massive and thick, yet sufficiently supple. \r
