Avec une première mise en circulation le 18 mars 1970, cette ID 20 bénéficie d'un historique connu et documenté depuis 1985. Plus récemment, entre 2010 et 2012, elle a fait l'objet d'une restauration poussée dont le détail est retranscrit par de nombreuses photos. Elle présente aujourd'hui une teinte bleue Camargue conforme au nuancier du constructeur, avec un toit blanc surmonté d'une précieuse galerie. La sellerie d'origine a pu être conservée.
Dans leur version break, les ID puis les DS étaient particulièrement commodes. Grâce à l'empattement long, la traction avant et la configuration de suspension, la plateforme arrière était immense et permettait un volume de chargement supérieur aux modèles concurrents. De plus, la suspension oléopneumatique empêchait la voiture de s'affaisser quand elle était chargée, grâce au dispositif de correction d'assiette.
Cette carrosserie a été proposée par Citroën avec divers aménagements, de types commerciaux ou familiaux. L'exemplaire proposé est un break ID20. L'aménagement intérieur extrêmement astucieux permet à 6 personnes de voyager grâce aux banquettes avant et arrière. Deux autres personnes peuvent être assises sur des sièges rabattables dans le coffre. Ces sièges et la banquette arrière peuvent également être rabattus pour créer un espace de chargement de plus de 2 m de long. D'une certaine façon, cette voiture préfigurait les monospaces et peut être par exemple aménagée en couchette lors d'un long déplacement. Cette polyvalence permet de joindre l'utile à l'agréable : une voiture originale, à la forme révolutionnaire, et qui est en même temps idéale pour se balader ou voyager en famille, ce qui en fait un modèle recherché.

First registered on 18 March 1970, this ID 20 benefits from a very limpid history from 1985 onwards. More recently between 2010 and 2012, the car was the subject of an important restoration, documented by photos. Today it is painted Bleu Camargue (light blue), conforming to the manufacturer's color chart, with a white roof. The original upholstery has been preserved.

In their station wagon version, the ID and later DS for the DS23 were particularly practical. Thanks to the long wheelbase and front-wheel drive configuration, the rear boot was huge and allowed a higher load volume than competing models. In addition, the oleo pneumatic suspension prevented the car from sagging when loaded, thanks to the weight correction device.
This body was proposed by Citroën with various equipment, commercial or family. The example on offer is an ID20 Break. The extremely clever interior design allows for 6 people to travel on the front and rear seat benches. A further two people can be seated in foldable seats in the trunk compartment. These seats and the rear bench can also be folded down flat creating a cargo area of over 2m in length. In a way, this car foreshadowed the MP and SUV.
This versatility makes it possible to combine business with pleasure: an original car, with a revolutionary shape, ideal for strolling or travelling with the family, which makes it a sought-after model.
