Présentée au Salon international de l'automobile de Genève 1969, la Dino 246 GT succède aux Dino 206 GT de 1968, et est produite à 3761 exemplaires de 1969 à 1974. Elle est conçue un peu dans l'esprit d'une Alpine Renault Berlinette mais davantage dans celui des Porsche 911 2,4 L. Si Alpine utilise d'abord un 4-cylindres issu de la grande série, le V6 de la 246 GT est bien plus sophistiqué et inimitable. D'une cylindrée de 2,418 L, les performances sont étonnantes pour une puissance de " seulement " 195 ch. La sonorité métallique du moteur est envoutante, ce qui aidera aussi au succès du véhicule, car il s'agit bien de la version " civilisée " d'un moteur de course.
Le célèbre classeur rouge de la certification Ferrari département Classiche datant de 2014 nous indique que cette Dino a été livrée neuve en juin 1972 au concessionnaire Motor S.p.a. de Bologne en Italie. Elle était de couleur Marrone Metallizzato, intérieur beige. Elle conserve aujourd'hui la couleur d'origine de ses cuirs et a été repeinte de l'envoûtant rouge Ferrari. Cette Dino fut confiée au concessionnaire Ferrari Zenith de Lausanne dirigé par Michel Zuchuat, pour une restauration totale. En tout, près de 140 000€ ont été dépensés pour les travaux de carrosserie, de mécanique et d'électricité. La dernière facture fut réglée en janvier 2020, elle sort donc tout juste du garage et se présente dans un état exceptionnel. La Dino fait partie des légendes de la marque, un indémodable modèle à la ligne intemporelle.

Presented at the 1969 Geneva Motor Show, the Dino 246 GT succeeded the Dino 206 GT from 1968, with 3761 cars built from 1969-1974. It was designed somewhat in the spirit of the Alpine-Renault berlinette, but even more that of Porsche's 911 2.4. While Alpine initially used a mass-produced four-cylinder engine, the 246 GT's V6 was unmatched and much more sophisticated. With a capacity of 2418 cc, its performance was remarkable for an output of "only" 195 bhp. The captivating metallic sound of the engine contributed to the model's success, as it was in reality a "detuned" racing engine.
The famous red certification binder from Ferrari's Classiche department, dated 2014, indicates that the Dino was delivered new in June 1972 to the dealer Motor S.p.a. In Bologna, Italy. It was finished in Marrone Metallizzato, with a beige interior. Today, it has kept the original colour for its leather but has been repainted in Ferrari's mesmerising shade of red. It was entrusted to the Ferrari Zenith dealership in Lausanne, managed by Michel Zuchuat, for a complete restoration. Altogether, more than €140,000 was spent on the body, mechanical and electrical work. The final bill was settled in January 2020: it is therefore fresh from the workshop and in exceptional condition. The Dino is one of the marque's legendary models, a classic with timeless styling.
Lots from outside the EU: In addition to the commissions and taxes indicated above, an additional import VAT will be charged (5,5% of the hammer price for vintage/classic cars, 20% newer/modern motorcars).
THIS DINO HAS JUST UNDERGONE A COMPLETE MECHANICAL OVERHAUL AT FERRARI ZENITH LAUSANNE FOR AN INVOICE AMOUNT (AVAILABLE) OF CHF25,000. CONTRARY TO WHAT WAS INDICATED IN THE CATALOGUE, THE RESTORATION OF THE BODYWORK GOES BACK A FEW YEARS AND WAS NOT CARRIED OUT ENTIRELY BY THIS GARAGE. A TEST DRIVE OF THIS DINO ALLOWED US TO OBSERVE AN EXCELLENT FUNCTIONING.
