1973 Porsche 911 T "Hot Rod" Coupe

[ translate ]

Chassis No. 9113100737
If you set out to build the perfect Porsche, what would it be? For Tony and Lois Gerace, it began with a 1973 Porsche 911 T Coupe with sunroof, the last final year of the early 911 longhood bodystyle. Tony Gerace knew what else he wanted – he had been working on Porsches most of his life, having founded TLG Auto, an elite, independent Porsche restoration and repair facility in North Hollywood, California, in 1978. Over the years Tony began curating the components he wanted in his dream 911.
Power? A 2.4-liter high-compression twin-plug MFI engine. To stop it? The powerful four-wheel discs from a 930 Turbo. Comfort and convenience? Recaro leather sport seats, Nardi steering wheel, and a 10,000 rpm tachometer to mind the flat-six music behind. Sound system? Not needed. Fuchs wheels, of course, 7X15 inch in front, 8X15 rear, capped with Pirelli 185/70 VR 15 rubber. To finish it off Tony added a 911 S front spoiler and through the grille fog lights to burn through the canyon country fog. The crowning touch: it's finished in its original and optional color of Gemini Blue Metallic paint.
For 24 years this special Porsche was a familiar sight in Southern California and Tony and Lois Gerace were frequent participants of R Gruppe meets and California canyon runs. With his love of Porsches, his decades of experience, and years of acquiring just the right equipment, Tony Gerace created his vision of the textbook Porsche — the beauty and grace of an early 911 with enhanced performance and comfort. Perfect!
