En 1965, la British Motor Corporation (B.M.C) prit des accords avec Innocenti pour assembler sous licence la Mini en Italie. Légèrement restylées et plus cossues les Mini Innocenti connurent un vif succès. En 1972, Innocenti est repris par B.L.M.C qui lance la 1000 et 1001 parallèlement aux désirables Innocenti Cooper.
Le véhicule présenté est une sympathique Innocenti Mini Cooper en version 1300 cc d'origine italienne. Il a été livré neuf à Milan en mai 1974 à Mahmoud Reza Pahlavi, demi-frère du Chah d'Iran Mohammad Reza. Il a ensuite été acquis par le beau-père de l'actuelle propriétaire fin 1981. Cette Mini qui a un temps suivi ses propriétaires en Angleterre a été restaurée par l'éminent spécialiste " Wood & Pickett " de Londres en 1989. Les travaux effectués ont notamment porté sur la mécanique et la carrosserie, ainsi que sur quelques modifications, comme la personnalisation bicolore avec les teintes d'origine, l'abaissement de la suspension, la pose de jantes " Maifrini " en 12 pouces et d'un échappement de Cooper S…Récemment, après une période d'arrêt la voiture a été remise en route par Atelier Mini Paris pour un montant de près de 3500€. Toujours bien stockée et affichant à peine 38150 km, cette Mini est aujourd'hui en bel état et son essai nous a permis d'apprécier son réel comportement dynamique.

In 1965, the British Motor Corporation (BCM) decided to license the manufacture of the Mini to Innocenti. Slightly restyled and more opulent, the Innocenti Mini was a great success. In 1972, Innocenti was taken over by B.L.M.C, who launched the 1000 et 1001, as well as the very desirable Innocenti Cooper.
The vehicle on offer is a 1300 cc Innocenti Mini Cooper of Italian origin. The car was delivered new in Milan, in May 1974, to Mahmoud Reza Pahlavi, the half-brother of the Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza. It was acquired by the current owner's father-in-law in 1981. This Mini followed its owners to the UK and was then restored by the well-known specialist, "Wood & Pickett" of London, in 1989. The work carried out focused on mechanicals and bodywork, as well as a few modifications, such as an original two-tone color scheme, lowering the suspension, 12-inch "Maifrini" rims and a Cooper S exhaust. Recently, after a period of non-use, the car was serviced by Atelier Mini Paris for an amount of nearly 3500 €. Well stored and displaying barely 38,150km, this Mini is in good condition and a test drive showed us its dynamic road behavior.
