Largement diffusée, la Yamaha 750 TZ a largement participé au succès de la Formule 750 dans la deuxième moitié des années 70. La moto présentée est la machine avec laquelle Christian Estrosi a été sacré Champion de France 750 à l'issue de la saison 76. A 20 ans, le jeune niçois faisait partie de cette génération de pilote français hyper-talentueux. Comme de nombreuses Yamaha privées, cette 750 TZ est équipée d'une partie-cycle spéciale, œuvre de son préparateur, Edouard Morena. Ce châssis made in Golf-Juan avait la particularité d'être équipé d'un mono amortisseur de Carbon positionné sur le côté droit et se révélait 12 kg plus légère que la version standard. A l'époque, deux châssis PEM ont été fabriqués pour Christian Estrosi et Philippe Coulon, son coéquipier Suisse qui portait les couleurs de Elf dans le team Morena. Très bien préparée, la TZ 750 PEM développait était fiable et rapide (la TZ750 flirtait avec les 300 km/h). Christian Estrosi se mit en évidence lors de la manche française du Championnat 750 mondial disputée à Nogaro. Meilleur temps des essais, vainqueur des deux manches devant le gratin de la Vitesse mondiale (Giacomo Agostini, Gary Nixon, Pat Hennen, Barry Sheene et tous les Français), " Estro " avait tiré le meilleur parti du châssis PEM sur le tracé gersois " réputé " pour son revêtement bosselé.
Cette Yamaha 750 TZ PEM a subit de grosses modifications durant l'hiver 76/77 (jantes magnésium, freins Brembo, carénage plus fin et plus aérodynamique, nouvelle fourche et nouvel amortisseur De Carbon, etc.) La machine participa aux saisons 77-78-79 et fut confiée à Gérard Choukroun pour le Moto Journal 200, une épreuve richement dotée disputée sur le circuit Paul Ricard.
Propriété de Soheil Ayari (le seul pilote à avoir participé aux 24 Heures du Mans en auto et en moto !), cette 750 TZ à cadre PEM a été entièrement restaurée… par son propriétaire. Soheil Ayari qui a rencontré Edouard Morena, souligne que cette machine, présentée dans sa configuration la plus évoluée (1979), est toute neuve et prête à prendre la piste pour des courses de démonstrations aux côtés de champions comme Giacomo Agostini, Christian Sarron, Steve Baker, etc. !

The Yamaha 750 TZ was widely distributed and contributed significantly to the Formula 750's success in the second half of the 1970s. This specific motorcycle is the machine that crowned Christian Estrosi as French Champion in 750 at the end of the 1976 season. At 20 years old, the young native of Nice was part of this generation of hyper-talented French riders. Like many privately-owned Yamaha bikes, this 750 TZ is equipped with a special frame prepared by Edouard Morena. This Golf-Juan made chassis had the uniqueness of having a carbon monoshock fitted on the right side and was 12 kg lighter than the standard version. At that time, two PEM chassis were manufactured for Christian Estrosi and Philippe Coulon, the latter being his Swiss teammate who bore the Elf colours in the Morena team. This highly well-prepared and developed TZ 750 PEM was reliable and fast (the TZ 750 could almost reach 300 km/h). Christian Estrosi shot to prominence during the French round of the 750 World Championship held at Nogaro. Achieving best qualifying times, as well as winning both heats in front of some of the best in the world (Giacomo Agostini, Gary Nixon, Pat Hennen, Barry Sheene and the rest of the French riders), "Estro" had made the most of the PEM chassis on the Gersois track, renowned for its bumpy surface.
This Yamaha 750 TZ PEM was heavily modified during the 1976/1977 winter (magnesium rims, Brembo brakes, thinner and more aerodynamic fairing, new fork and new De Carbon shock absorber, etc.) This machine participated in the 1977, 1978 and 1979 seasons and was entrusted to Gérard Choukroun for the Moto Journal 200, a richly endowed event taking place at the Paul Ricard circuit.
Owned by Soheil Ayari (the only driver to have participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in both cars and motorcycles!), this 750 TZ with PEM frame was fully restored… by the owner himself. After meeting Edouard Morena, Soheil Ayari emphasises that this machine, presented in its most advanced configuration (1979), is brand new and ready to hit the track for race gatherings alongside champions such as Giacomo Agostini, Christian Sarron, Steve Baker, etc…!
