The W123 model has proved to be one of Mercedes-Benz' most popular classic models, coming in a variety of body designs and a n almost bewildering choice of engines. The 230 was one rung up from the range-introduction 200 and was sold on its high quality rather than generous equipment levels. This one family, two-lady owners, 38,000-miles-from-new example was ordered in the less commonly-seen Topaz Brown, and specified with electric sunroof, and even a passenger door mirror, which was not part of the standard equipment. A car alarm and air conditioning were also fitted at a later date as well as having a conversion completed to run on lead free petrol. This historic vehicle comes complete with personalised number plate FSY 781 and is offered in all-round very good order. A real time warp example that you don't see often today. Ziebarted when new it is said to be a superb example and surely one of the best coming to a classic auction this year. An opportunity not to be missed.
