1977 Toyota Land Cruiser
Registration no. TJA726R
Chassis no. BJ40-016704
*Mechanically and bodily very good
*Reliable, practical classic
*Ideal for forthcoming Winter – and beyond

Odometer Reading: 100000
MOT Expiry: Expired April 2019

There is a phrase that says 'if you want to go into the desert take a Land Rover, but if you want to go into the desert and come out again, take a Land Cruiser.' Certainly from its launch the Land Cruiser developed a cast-iron reputation for reliability and examples such as this BJ40 makes usable, reliable classics. Here is a good condition, ready-to-use example offering very good bodywork and paint. It retains its external trim. The engine bay is tidy but with little effort could be brought up to the same standard as the body. The functional interior features later Sparco bucket seats but otherwise is good and unmodified, right down to the gear-selection pattern decal on the glovebox. The rear-mounted jump seats are fine and the carpet covering the front footwells good too. Mechanically very good, the engine starts and runs well while gearbox, suspension and brakes are reported as being very good. While there is little history, with Winter upon us this '40' is definitely worthy of a closer examination.
