Les Bentley Corniche convertible n'ont été construites qu'à 88 exemplaires entre 1971 et 1984. Le modèle présenté, en conduite à gauche, n'a pas été construit à plus de 20 exemplaires, dans cette version.
Il s'agit donc d'un modèle rarissime, livré neuf à Los Angeles comme nous l'indique la copie de la facture originale. Ce cabriolet a été livré dans sa combinaison de couleurs actuelles, Off White, intérieur et capote Tan avec passepoil Magnolia. Elle passe ensuite entre les mains d'un amateur en Floride avant d'arriver en France. Son propriétaire actuel la possède depuis une dizaine d'années et roule régulièrement autour de sa propriété de campagne dans le nord de Paris. Son entretien est régulièrement fait par Americo Automobiles, spécialiste Rolls Royce et Bentley. Son essai nous a permis de constater un très bon fonctionnement mécanique, tournant de manière très ronde et silencieuse comme il se doit dans une Bentley de ce type. Ses suspensions, ses trains roulants, son comportement global sont très satisfaisants. Les quatre vitres et capotes fonctionnent sans peine. Chose rare, elle sera livrée avec sa pochette d'origine contenant son carnet et ses livrets d'origine, sa trousse à outils complète et son couvre-capote. Il s'agit d'une automobile qui roule régulièrement.
Contrairement à Rolls-Royce, Bentley a toujours eu une image sportive grâce à ses participations à toutes les grandes courses internationales. Au volant d'une Bentley, votre image sera celle du 'gentleman driver'.

Only 88 Bentley Corniche convertibles were built between 1971 and 1984. The model presented is left-hand drive, and one of just 20 examples of this version.
This extremely rare car was delivered new to Los Angeles, as confirmed by the copy of the original invoice. It is presented in the original colour combination of off-white with tan interior and hood, with magnolia piping. The car then passed into the hands of an enthusiast in Florida before coming to France. The current owner has had the car for some ten years, and he drives it regularly in the countryside around his property in the north of Paris. It is regularly maintained by Americo Automobiles, the Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialist. A test-drive demonstrated that the Corniche runs very well, and is smooth and silent, as a Bentley of this type should be. The suspension, running gear and general handling was highly satisfactory. The four windows and hood operate without any problems. A rare feature, the car comes with its original folder containing original logbook and manuals, complete toolkit and tonneau-cover. This is a car that has been driven regularly.
Unlike Rolls-Royce, Bentley has always enjoyed a sporting image, due to its involvement in all the important international races. Sat behind the wheel of this Bentley, you can only be a 'gentleman driver'.
