The Guards Red paintwork remains deep and vibrant, lacking the fading that can affect this hue and there is no stone-chipping behind the wheels. The bodywork is equally impressive, with impeccable shutlines are impeccable, the bumpers being factory-standards aligned. Under the bonnet the engine bay maintains the theme with very clean paint and highly presentable ancillaries. Sitting inside is almost a time-traveller experience back to when this car was showroom-fresh, as there is no sign of wear and tear to any aspect of the trim, the door cards or the dashboard. The seat facings show very little sign of use (including the outside edge of the driver's seat back) and this is repeated with the carpet and, equally importantly, with the switches, steering wheel and dashboard, the latter being in unusually fine, fade- and crack-free order.
