1989 - PORSCHE 911 3.2 SPEEDSTER TLU

[ translate ]

Only 39,939 km (24,817 miles)
A true car for the collector
Stunning looks
The Porsche 911 3.2 was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1983. Its engine, designed to meet US emissions regulations, was less thirsty than the SC which preceded it, but its maximum power and torque were greatly improved. Indeed, the flat-six, now fed by a Bosch electronic fuel injection system, produced 231 bhp; from 1987, it was mated to a Getrag G50 gearbox with a hydraulically operated clutch, which was quicker and more precise.
At the end of 1988, the Speedster went on sale, the final version of the G Series 911, which stood out for its low swept windscreen and raised polyester tonneau cover. The optional ‘Turbo Look' with wider wheels and wings gave it a distinctly muscular appearance.
With only 2103 units built, this version benefits from all the changes and improvements made to the 3.2, both to its mechanical specification and to the level of comfort offered inside the car.
The model which we are offering for sale was sold new in Germany on 14 July 1989. Its current owner, the third, acquired it in 2014 when it was showing 32,937 km (20,466 miles). Understood to have covered just under 40,000 km (25,000 miles) today, it is in very good overall condition. Its bodywork has a bright shine to it and all its stickers are in place. The upholstery, carpets and hood have all been well preserved. The example we are offering comes with its service booklet, both sets of keys, toolkit, jack and air compressor. Mechanically, everything works perfectly, and our road test proved entirely satisfactory.
Revived at this year's Paris Motor Show as a 991-based concept, the Speedster continues to make the news. A legendary model, the 3.2 is likely to be the subject of renewed interest, which may lead to an increase in values. With low mileage and in very fine condition, our example is offered at an attractive estimated price: there can be no doubt that it is a fine opportunity which should not be missed!
