Odometer reading: 5,110 kilometres
MoT expiry date: 27 September 2001

*Believed one owner from new
*Groundbreaking model launched at the Milan Show in late 1987
*Requiring recommissioning or restoration

The Ducati 851 is arguably one of the most influential motorcycles of recent times, and one of the most beautiful motorcycles, the Ducati 916 owes much to its predecessor. The 851 paved the way for so many of the Italian manufacture's superbikes. Believed to have been purchased new by the late owner in September 1992 from Woods Motorcycles of Abergele, Clwyd (the 1992 purchase receipt failing to record a km reading), the machine is believed to have been maintained by his mechanic however, there is no service history on file and it is unknown whether the cam timing belts have ever been changed. Similarly, the machine's battery is flat. Accordingly, the machine is offered strictly as viewed, requiring recommissioning and or restoration to a greater or lesser extent. Offered with V5C, old V5, 1992 purchase receipt and a selection of expired MOT's.
