Michael Jordan's connection to baseball represents one of the most fascinating chapters in the career of any modern athlete. After stunning the sports world by stepping away from basketball following three consecutive NBA championships, Jordan signed with the Chicago White Sox organization in 1994 and spent the season with the Double-A Birmingham Barons, pursuing a sport he had not played competitively since high school.
