[ translate ]

Lot details Registration No: K367 ASX Chassis No: SFABXXBBABNB02420 MOT: November 2024 Evocation of the iconic Escort RS Cosworth Reached completion in late 2023 Finished in Cosworth correct paintwork Ash Black Based upon an Mk5 Escort XR3i The Ford Escort RS Cosworth was a rally homologation special of the fifth-generation Escort. It was designed to qualify as a Group A car for the World Rally Championship, in which it competed between 1993 and 1998. It was available as a road car from 1992-96 in very limited numbers, only 7,145 vehicles were produced from the start of production on 19 February 1992 until the last car rolled out of the factory on 12 January 1996. It was instantly recognisable due to its large "whale tail" rear spoiler. With the Escort RS Cosworth having seen a significant value hike in recent years, it should be no surprise that evocations of the iconic car are now being produced. Beginning life as a 1992 Mk5 Escort XR3i, ‘K367 ASX’ was supplied new to the United Kingdom being first registered on the 2nd of August 1992. Many years later, the Escort was elected as a prime candidate for the basis of a conversion to an Escort RS Cosworth Mk5 evocation, with work commencing in 2022. The Evocation’s build was completed in late 2023, with the Escort gaining the iconic Cosworth styling including the "whale tail" rear spoiler, wheels, and wide-body kit. Originally finished in Black (and therefore not showing a colour change on HPI), the Escort has been painted in the Cosworth correct hue of Ash Black paintwork and is complemented by a Recaro interior. With a recorded mileage of 52,000 miles on the odometer, the Escort has had seven former keepers. Benefitting from a recent cambelt change, replacement water pump and service as part of the build, the Escort offers Cosworth head turn ability for a fraction of the cost today!
