1992 PRE-BAN M1A W/ WEAVER SCOPE
SERIAL NUMBER: 069152. BARREL: 22". CALIBER: .308 WIN. MANUFACTURED: 1992. The 1992 Springfield Armory M1A is a civilian, semi-automatic counterpart to the iconic United States military M14 service rifle. This specific era of production is known for utilizing a heavy, cast-steel commercial receiver that was built to handle full-power 7.62x51mm NATO (.308 Winchester) ammunition. Standard features from this factory build include a 22-inch barrel, a traditional military-style flash suppressor with an integrated front sight blade, and a fully adjustable military aperture rear sight for windage and elevation. The rifle typically features a two-stage military trigger group with a crisp break and a classic safety mechanism located inside the front of the trigger guard. It also features a walnut refurbished M14 military stock with flip-up steel butt plate with a storage compartment for a cleaning kit. The vintage Weaver Challenger scope is paired with a side-mounted optic system, which utilizes a specialized S&K mounting bracket bolted directly into the factory-machined grooves on the left side of the receiver. Because the M1A ejects spent cartridge casings upward and outward, this mounting system is designed with specific clearance to ensure reliable cycling without jamming the action. The Weaver Challenger optic itself features a traditional wire reticle, a 1-inch main tube diameter, and capped, coin-adjustable turrets for field adjustments. CONDITION: Very Good. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The stock has been refurbished as evidenced by two filled in areas on right side of the stock. Operates normally. The scope glass is clear. MODERN 27-300
