1993 Chateau Haut-Brion - Pessac-Léognan 1er Grand Cru Classé - 1 Bottle (0.75L)

Haut Brion has a history of producing outstanding wines over the past 200 years. As a result, the status of the Chateau has been classified as Premier Grand Cru Classe of Bordeaux! During a Haut Brion tasting at DPF 4 Wines, I tasted the big difference of the various vintages. I would not have expected this diversity amongst vintages. The 1993 was the most in it’s peak. Amazing wine which is despite the vintage such an extra ordinary wine. The 2000 was despite the notes from wine writers more in it’s peak than expected. In comparison with the other vintages Haut Brion 1995 was the most concentrated and present in tannine. This wine was much more powerful in my experience in comparison to 2007. The 1993 showed the best in this tasting as a result, we would like to share this amazing experience with you all. Haut-Brion is notable as being the only first growth in Graves – Lafite Rothschild, Mouton Rothschild and Latour are all in Pauillac, while Château Margaux is – perhaps not surprisingly – in Margaux. Haut-Brion's red wine is its key line, comprising most of the château's output, but it is also unusual in that it has a corresponding white wine that shares the simple "Haut-Brion" name.
