1994 Mercedes Benz SL600 Convertible

with a 6.0 liter 48-valve DOHC V12 engine that produced 389 hp when new, and a four-speed automatic transmission. Designed in 1984, the R129 was based on the shortened floorpan of the Mercedes-Benz W124.

Exterior in Polar White and Light Gray lower portion, with Royal Blue leather interior. Matching fabric convertible top is in excellent condition, with the rear window cloudy. The number of standard features was high, with electrically powered windows, mirrors, seats and hydraulic convertible top. It was the first car to feature integrated seatbelts in the seat. New for 1994 were: odometer switched from mechanical to electronic, option for portable cell phone with voice activated dialing (this car retains both), clear front turn signal indicators for US SPEC models, and Bose stereo now standard, with rear speakers and subwoofer. Chrome 17" five spoke AMG wheels have been added with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Painted brake calipers, and an AMG badge have been added. Heated seats, cruise control, and automatic climate control are some of the other options included.

Condition Report: Overall in good condition with the interior being excellent; hydraulic convertible top was tested and worked correctly, developed leak during test (diagnosed leak in hydraulics); Adaptive Damping System is operating, but will need service (accumulators appear bad); front headlight bezels are cracked; tires in good condition dated 2003; lower panels of car in grey need polish; no other apparent concerns.
