1998 GIBSON ES-350T SEMI-HOLLOW BODY GUITAR

[ translate ]

Please search WESTPORT AUCTION on YouTube to view our channel and see a video preview of this guitar being played. The ES-350T was released by Gibson in 1955 as part of a line of guitars with hollow bodies and narrow sides to accommodate players seeking smaller, comfortable instruments without compromising quality, and as such, the T in the model name stands for thinline. This 1998 model features the rounded “Venetian" cutaway shape at the neck, in reference to the original version before Gibson changed to the sharper “Florentine" cutaway in 1960. The maple laminate on the top has the well-renowned sunburst finish. The ES-350T went out of production in 1981, only being released later in special edition batches. Since 1996, most ES-350Ts have been available by custom order only, which suggests this 1998 model is one of those custom orders. The ES-350T has been favored throughout the years by many notable artists including Jimmy Page, who ordered his own custom ES350-T in 2006, and Keith Richards. Minimal checking and play wear. Pickguard spacer melted, needs to be addressed. Needs to be cleaned. Case may or may not be original.
