Odometer reading: 56,916 Miles
MoT expiry date: 21 May 2013

* Purchased new by the late owner
* Capable big tourer
* Requiring recommissioning

Introduced in 1996 as the successor to the BMW R100 RT, the newcomer benefited from changes to the full fairing, increased power output and an increase in capacity. With a curb weight of 275kg, the emphasis was on rider comfort and safety, featuring ABS-II all round and a smooth fuel-injected boxer engine capable of accelerating from 0-60mph in approx. 4.5 seconds. Purchased new by the late owner October 1999 from Blue Bell BMW (Crewe), the machine is presented in Graphite trim. Ridden regularly until 2013, the machine was maintained by the late owners mechanic and last started July 2019 (with the assistance of a slave battery). Standing unused since 2019, the machine will require a replacement battery, recommissioning or restoration to a greater or lesser extent and is therefore sold strictly as viewed. There is some corrosion present to the fork brace, the fairing has warped and the machine displays some minor paint loss. Offered with V5C, old V5, a handwritten service bulletin, original purchase invoice, Datatag correspondence and a selection of expired MoT's.
